Broadcasting from studios in Emalahleni and Nelspruit, MPowerFM went on air in December 2007 and has since grown to over 118 000 listeners . MPowerFM features South African and International radio talent, playing the best mix of your favourite hits while carrying commercial messages to a wide ranging audience. No station in Mpumalanga deploys more community events, contesting and marketing than MPowerFM. This opens up opportunities, drives more people to hear your message and positions your business as being community involved.

What makes MpowerFM unique is the fact that we broadcast local news, traffic reports & provincial related updates. The News Team is focused strongly on localizing every story where possible. To this extent MpowerFM aims to maintain a 40% ratio on news of local interest. Whilst the major Traffic Reports cover the centres of Nelspruit, Middelberg and Emalahleni, MPowerFM’s footprint includes major national routes too. This means that local businesspeople, representatives and transport companies remain on the move throughout the province. MpowerFM gathers information from the Provincial Traffic Department as well as the local Traffic Department, trafficnet.com and from the great relationship with many listeners who regularly update us via SMS and call-in to pass on vital traffic information. Financial Indicators form part of the News Bulletins. These cover the Gold Price and the exchange rates on the Dollar, Pound and the Euro. Local Weather Forecasts are updated regularly, and Community Events enjoy a major share of broadcasting time.
