Model puts down apron on MasterChefSA
Guy Clark, a 30-year-old former model from Cape Town, handed in his MasterChef SA apron on Tuesday after presenting an incomplete dish in a daunting pressure test. Guy's departure also revealed the Top 10 contestants left competing for the title of SA's first MasterChef. The last episode started with an invention test which required contestants to pick a country as well as a cooking method and prepare a dish accordingly. Unfortunately Guy’s version of the classic pub food consisting of yellowtail poached in beer did not do the trick for the judges. 27-year-old Khaya, who picked France as a country and steaming as a method, won the challenge with her chicken ballotine and turned carrots.
DJ Sbu and Lindiwe Suttle in love?
TS Records co-founder DJ Sbu and DJ Sbumusician Lindiwe Suttle have fuelled rumours of a romance after they were spotted getting cosy at the recent South African Music Awards. The pair proved to be enjoying each other’s company while seated next to each other at the awards, when Sbu was spotted whispering into Lindiwe’s ear. Lindiwe Suttle, daughter of Felicia Mabuza Suttle, has been busy promoting her new single “Man Made Moon” off her new album Kamikaze Art! Both Sbu, (who split from actress Terry Pheto in 2008), and Lindiwe have denied the rumours – insisting their relationship is purely platonic.

Mother to newly born Hayden Christian Carstens, Melanie Tweeted: “Our son, Hayden Christian Carstens was born on the 4 May 2012. Thank you @ArnoCarstens for the greatest gift of my life.” The tweet was accompanied by a gorgeous black and white photo of Arno and Hayden. Earlier in May (4 May 2012), Melanie announced: “He is perfect. I am so in love. Thank you for all the well wishes.” Arno responded to Melanie’s tweet yesterday, wishing her well on her very first Mother’s day. He tweeted: ”Congrats on first time mothersday.”
