Celani Dube
A man on a mission. This is how one would describe Celani Dube. Now just add a lot of soul and you have the perfect combination to form the Souled Out Sunday show with Celani Dube on MPOWERFM.
This man was born in KwaMaphumulo in Kwazulu Natal and grew up in a mission school, Domino Servite School. He matriculated in Hope High School in Newcastle and furthered his studies at the former Natal Technikon. He completed courses such as Sales and Marketing and Business Administration and Management. But that's not the end of it, Celani will soon register to do a Masters in Business Leadership. Impressive!
Among his other talents are the launching of brands, Master of Ceremonies and of course entertaining listeners every Sunday on his Souled Out show on MPOWERFM.
Celani describes himself as a strong and independent person, who is a true innovator at heart. He enjoys motivational speaking and being a brand ambassador. He is married to the love of his life, Gugu Dube and loves cooking.
He lives his life with the philosophy that the future is now. Excellent markings for a successful businessman! His home style is elegant and like most traditional Zulu men, he enjoys anything with meat. He likes reading newspapers to keep him up to date of developments in the business world but still makes the time for hobbies such as quad biking, jet skiing, playing soccer and jogging. BBC's Top Gear and other related shows are his favourite on the television.
When asked which well known people he would like to have a chat with, he answered former president Thabo Mbeki, President Jacob Zuma and business tycoon, Bill Gates. But Celani says his true icon is former United Nations Boss Kofi Anan.
Returning to the studio, Celani recalls his most embarrassing moment on radio was one time when he accidentally forgot to switch on his mike and only half way through his conversation he realized this. Don't feel bad Celani, sure this has happened to a lot of presenters!
To top everything off, Celani is an avid soccer and athletics supporter and says he will beat any presenter at MPOWERFM in a 100m sprint session.
So get on your marks and get ready for total relaxation with Souled Out Sundays with Celani Dube on MPOWERFM from 21:00 to midnight and also the Chill Zone from 21h00 to midnight from Monday till Thursday.
